WHAT PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS ARE THERE?

One of the most widely recognized in the American Association of Cosmetology Schools, othewrise known as AACS. They are a national non-profit association open to all privately owned schools of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. AACS specializes in updating its members with information about new teaching methods, current industry events, and Washington DC updates. Most of this updating is done through a series of seminars, confrences and conventions held throughout the year. The Academy of Hair Design has been an active member of AACS for many years.

For those schools who participate in the Title IV Funding, (such as The Academy) AACS lobbies Congress and the Department of Education agressively to protect the interest of propriatery school students.
