Make Your Mark as a Professional Nail Tech
Nail technology consists of equal parts fashion, art, and positive self-care. Whether it’s keeping up with the latest style trends or working directly with the 1500+ guests who enter our doors each month, our nail tech program is designed to offer everything you need to become an experienced, licensed professional.
Hone your skills at our ultra-modern nail bar under the instruction of our staff of instructors, gain experience in a real salon setting and learn to provide more than 20 individual nail tech services from our nail menu. All services in our nail bar are provided by students under the supervision of our licensed instructors. In Academy of Hair Design’s nail tech program, you’ll discover how to showcase your artistic ability, expertise, and attention to detail in an energetic learning environment.

Our Nail Tech Program
There’s nothing quite as exciting as a fresh set of nails — especially when they’re done right. In our nail technology program, you’ll learn all the fundamental tools of the trade, along with fabulous nail art, gel & acrylic nail application, encapsulations, manicures & pedicures, and more. Our student-run nail bar features over 20 total individual services related to nail beautification and care.
Like all of Academy of Hair Design’s programs, our nail technology track can be performed at your own pace to ensure you get the experience you need. Create beautiful manicures with a variety of nail materials at our 12-patron nail bar, and hone your pedicure and massage skills in our spa chairs. Our school is designed to help you grow comfortable with a variety of techniques on real-life clientele, so you can graduate with the knowledge and experience of a professional.
Financial Aid Options
We want your education in nail technology to be as beneficial as possible, which is why we offer career and financial advisory services to all of our students. Financial aid is available to those who qualify, as well as scholarships, grants, and other payment plans. Our advisors are happy to go over details with you, to ensure you’re able to pursue your path in the beauty industry with confidence.

Nail Technology FAQs
We aim to educate, graduate, and place students in a career in 6 months or less. As always, that time frame can be altered to fit individual student needs.
Yes! Our financial aid experts will help you explore all scholarships, grants, and student loan options, along with other possibilities for financial aid, to develop a tuition plan that works for you. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
You’ll learn the latest trends and fashions in nail beauty, properly applying and caring for nails of several different materials, manicuring, pedicuring and more!
Ready to Enroll?
Before enrolling, keep in mind the State Board of Cosmetology in Nevada has
established a few standard requirements for all program applicants:
- Applicants must be 17 years of age
- High school diploma (or equivalency) is required
- Social security number is required
- While US citizenship is not required, to apply for financial aid through the
Department of Education you will need a permanent residency card
