Esthetics Program FAQs
We aim to educate, graduate and place students in a career in 6 months or less. However, the 600 hours required to complete our full esthetics course can be taken at a pace tailored to fit your unique schedule — including night classes!
Yes! Our financial aid experts will help you explore all scholarships, grants, and student loan options, along with other possibilities for financial aid, to develop a tuition plan that works for you. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
In addition to the critical business components of the esthetics industry, you’ll also learn popular cosmetic treatments including spa facials, face and body waxing, professional makeup application, and all things eyelashes.

The State Board of Cosmetology in Nevada requires applicants to be 17 years of age before enrolling, with a high school diploma (or equivalency) and a valid social security number. You do not need to be a U.S. Citizen to attend Academy of Hair Design, however, if you plan to apply for financial aid through the Department of Education, you will need a permanent residency card.

The first step to enrolling in our esthetics program is to schedule a tour with us. Your tour is your opportunity to get a feel for our culture, see students in action, and ask any questions you may have. Call us, or fill out the form below to schedule your tour.
After your tour, you’ll want to fill out your application packet. As part of the application packet, we do require a short essay on why you believe you’d be a great fit for our esthetics program.
Once your application is submitted and approved, the next step is to answer any additional questions about schedules, start dates, financial aid, and more!
