Our Hair Design Program
Our hair design program offers a diverse experience in all things hair. The program’s spacious and busy student clinic features 72 hair stations, giving you plenty of opportunities to hone your craft. Our substantial client base provides a variety of experience with different hair types and textures in a true learning environment with hands-on growth.
The Hair Design program uses the popular Redken color line of 5th Avenue NYC. Our hair design school also includes resources like helpful videos, tutorials, Chromebooks, hardback books, PowerPoint presentations, and interactive class discussions. The education at Academy of Hair Design is varied and thorough, and the experience is unmatched. You’ll gain knowledge in the way that you learn best, with invaluable hands-on elements that provide unmatched experience.

Many programs add time and curriculum focused on skin and nails, but our Hair Design Program will leave you proficient in hair and ready to see clients.
Hair Design Program FAQs
Hair design classes begin at various times throughout the year. Whether you want to kick off your education in the spring, summer, winter or fall, we have start dates almost every month. For more information on hair design course dates, call the school today and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
In order to complete the hair design program, you’ll need to attend 1,000 clock hours total. We offer varied schedules during the day and evening, for students to attend either half time or full time. If you want to finish your education in a shorter time frame, we recommend a full time schedule. If you have other commitments, half-time works great for students that need more flexibility.

There’s no need for a background in hair design or the beauty industry to get started. In order to apply, all you need is a GED or high school diploma, $25 for your application packet, and an interview to ensure you’re a good fit. Call, text or come by the school for more information, and don’t forget to schedule a tour!
How to Enroll
If you’re ready to kickoff your hair design education, the first step is to schedule a tour of our facility. During this tour, we’ll get to know you better, and determine if you’re a good fit for the hair design program. Think of it as an informal interview so we can learn about your passions and interests!
Next, you’ll fill out your application packet which includes a short essay. Once we’ve determined your eligibility, you’ll be able to speak with our tuition specialists about payment plans. Financial aid is available to those who qualify, and there are also opportunities for scholarships and grants.

Cosmetology
